12 Oct Following My Own Advice
Virtual Executive Assistants (EA) can play a critical role in assisting busy executives to maximize their time, moving their businesses forward and minimizing the important but non-core business tasks that become distractions.
This is what I tell people all the time and the fact is…. I am following my own advice! Yes, I am hiring my own Virtual Executive Assistant.
You may be asking why is a Virtual EA hiring their own Virtual EA. I am doing this BEFORE:
- I get to the point of not having enough hours in my workday to get everything completed
- My work/home life become unbalanced
- I stretch myself too thin
- To my business, I know I need to grow my team
I took a long, hard look at my current business plan, and realized in order to grow my business and continue to effectively serve my clients, I need my own Virtual EA. Sounds strange, right? A Virtual EA hiring their own Virtual EA, but knowing that this will give me back the hours I spend on AAC non-core business tasks – giving me more time to support and focus on my clients, and ultimately growing my business at the same time.
If you are considering hiring a Virtual Executive Assistant or maybe you’re not sure if you even need one, ask yourself these questions:
- Is your business holding you hostage? Do you need some time off but are reluctant to take it? It’s important to keep a work/life balance and taking time away from work is healthy.
- Wish you could clone yourself? When you grow your business, you will realize there are not enough hours in the day to get it all done.
- Do you spend more time on administrative tasks than the core business itself? It’s hard to add value to the bottom line when you are spending so much time on admin tasks.
Hiring a Virtual EA could be a life-changing decision. Remember, you don’t have to do it all yourself. There are financial and emotional benefits to getting a little help – don’t be afraid to make the call!
